Advocacy

The Finnish Wind Power Association has an active role in advocating for wind power development in Finland.

The Finnish Wind Power Association is a highly esteemed expert organisation that takes active part in the political and public debate around wind power, issues statements and disseminates information about wind power.

The purpose of the association’s advocacy work is to promote a good operating environment for the construction and production of wind power in Finland. The association focuses on matters related to, e.g. animals, the electricity grid, planning and other permits, and the reconciliation of the interests of the Defence Forces.

Many committees and working groups work under the association, presenting their views on topical issues concerning their own sector. The committees and working groups consist of members of the Finnish Wind Power Association.
