What we do

Finnish Wind Power Association (FWPA) is an over 30-year-old association whose activities have grown and become more professional during the past decade. At the start of the active Finnish wind power project development, key licensing game rules were created, which the association participated in drafting. Even though the basic parts of the regulatory framework were already created in the early 2010s, with the growth of the industry an ever-increasing number of topics and issues have emerged that require the association’s attention. In recent years, a lot of attention has been paid to prioritizing the association’s activities, but the number of issues and stakeholders involved in the field and the general interest in the field have grown remarkably fast. Advocacy, communication, and events are the most central functions of the association.
